After kernel update computer freezes

Hi,

After the latest two kernel updates 4.13.0-37 and 38 my computer started freezing on login screen. I have to hold down shift on start and choose the old kernel 4.13.0-36 in order to use my computer (Thinkpad X230- 16.04.4 LTS). Anyone else having this problem? And any ideas to how I can fix it?

probably best for the moment to pin the kernel to the old one that works.

Remember to “ubuntu-bug kernel” to report the issue.
