Just upgraded from LTS 18.04 to 20.04 and now system won’t blank screen and sleep? Anyone else seeing this. Sorry for the ask, location where I should report.

Thanks in advance.

Very Respectfully,
Gary

These sorts of issues can either be graphical issues or kernel issues or a combination of both.

So do check if you have the latest graphics and possibly linux firmware installed via Menu - Hardware drivers

If no luck via that route then please file a bug against the kernel [https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Bugs](https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/Bugs)

Try to check if sleep and screen blanking aren’t turned off in Gnome Settings.
