# Camera not seen on cheese - got the errors from terminal

Hello,  
I am running ubuntu budgie in a macbook air 2018.  
Cheese says “there was an error playing video from the webcam” and guvcview can see the camera

Under Settings the camera is not shown  
If I check “additional drivers” I see the following:  
“Broadcom Inc and subsidiaries : 720p FaceTime HD Camera  
This device is not working  
Option 1; using Kernel driver for FacetimeHD amera from facetimehd-dkms (open source)  
Option 2: continue using a manually installed driver  
Option 3: do not use the device”  
I cannot choose another option than 3

The terminal shows these errors:

Avoid using cheese. It wasnt working during the 24.04 development cycle and hence why we dropped it on favour of guvcview.  
I havent checked since whether later versions of ubuntu have a fixed version of cheese.
