This has been happening for months for me but I did not have the time to report it. Attached is a video link to see what is happening.

I’m still on 19.04 as I did not get any notification for update.

Seems it is updating once I ran that, before I was running `sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade` I thought it was the same but I guess not.

Now I have another issue, the upgrade to 19.10 button does not do anything, is there also something I can do from the command line?

hmm - something from those PPA’s has fiddled with dbus.

Suggestion - do make sure you have a full disk image backup handy just in-case things go bang.

Switch to a TTY i.e. CTRL+ALT+F3 and login via the text screen.

Then type:

```
do-release-upgrade
```

That should run the release upgrade process.
