# Guide for Upgrading to 22.04

Is there a guide somewhere for the direct upgrade to 22.04?  
Or it be posted somewhere?

I know that it has been a day from the release. 🙂

The steps are the same as normal ubuntu:

Type in update-manager -d in a terminal, then the software updater will open and notify you about an upgrade to 22.04. Click upgrade and follow the instructions.

FWIW, I upgraded my two-year old Lenovo laptop and all it is running fine. This laptop includes a LAMP server and other dev materials.
