# "Open" and "Save As" menu options are too slow in all desktop applications

Sorry @fvroig, no problem with Thunderbird on my UB 24.04: the file explorer opens immediately when saving an attachment.  
However, I have to say that [I’ve replaced the snap format of Thunderbird with the .deb format](https://discourse.ubuntubudgie.org/t/problem-with-thunderbird/7327/3).

You should give it a try. 🤔
