# UB 18.04 Top panel not going Tranparent

The top panel will not switch to transparent, it goes dynamic. Options none and dynamic works just not Transparent.

The transparency effect is dependent on the theme supporting transparency and how it is implemented

So if you don’t see any changes the theme needs to be updated. Please contact the theme maintainer to see if they will add budgie desktop compatibility

For pocillo transparency and dynamic changes to the semi translucent effect. That is by design.
