# Ubuntu Budgie 21.10 (Impish Indri) Login Window Issue

Love the latest 21.10 Beta Daily release build , but the Login Window Settings Software will not install a picture. Any advice or thoughts on this?

Everything here is working fine on impish.

Do make sure the path to the picture you are using is accessible - avoid home folder locations since they are normally inaccessible via the login manager

…or just make sure the whole path to picture used in login screen is « readable » by anyone ( others ),  
someting like rw-r–r-- for the final file and rwxr-xr-x for the folders throughout the path.

Since Ubuntu 21.04 the default rights in home folders are `rwXr-X---` ( it was `rwXr-Xr-X` before ).

Or ( I did not test that but it should also work ) add the user _lightdm_ to the group of _your user_.
