Hi, I have installed Ubuntu Budgie and am trying to enable VNC. I turn on screen and media sharing. Use the Budgie tool to enable VNC however it keeps looping back to the screen and media sharing dialogue box, even though that was already enabled. I am trying to connect using a RealVNC viewer from a Windows 10 laptop. Any ideas?

I can connect however it’s just a black screen, which is probably some encryption mismatch with Windows 10.

I am not really familiar with realvnc.

Maybe the client will only talk to a realvnc server … so you would need to run realvnc on the pi.

Just so that you know everything is OK, please download and write a UB image to a USB stick and boot your laptop/desktop to the live session. Install remmina and see if you can connect OK to the pi.

Merci. Psycho\_loco
