17.10.1 vs 18.04 major differences

As 18.04 is at the door, I would like to have an update about what will be the major differences between the actual version 17.10 and next version 18.04 for a normal end-user ?

I mean, I suppose for developers/programmers there will be advantages but the normal " non programmer " end-user using 18.04 ?

Performance ? GUI ? Stability ?
