Optional replacement of screen lock with i3lock

Hi there!

I’d really like i3lock as an officially supported screen locker. I’ve tried to replace the existing screen lock with i3, and it works for short lived locking. But when my machine suspends, I’m first presented with the i3lock screen, then with the budgie default one.

Would be great to have official support for this - as I see it - more secure screen locker!

Best,
Henrik

no idea I’m afraid how to-do this. Open to ideas

the budgie lock is “gnome-screensaver” - there are references in the code to this if you grep for it.

At a guess those references will need to be changed but don’t know what else will need to be done.
