When using alt+tab to see pages/app I have opened it doesn`t close! Happened twice when using STEAM for playing ESO. Wondering if it actually an issue for Ubuntu or STEAM.
Still having this issue and it seems something to do with STEAM. Accordingly to ChatGPT AI, I had to do some steps:
1- On STEAM settings, I disabled the game overlay.
2- It still didn`t work so it asked me to install ROFI (a lightweight application launcher and window switcher) to replace the one by default from Ubuntu Budgie and created a customized shortcut on my keyboard settings. and it seems its working well so far.
Any idea/feedback what it could be?
And thx so much for team support here, really happy with UB despite this issue.
It does feel like a bug with UB itself. Obviously steam is doing something crazy that no other app is doing. As to what i am afraid I have no idea.
I don’t use steam myself to comment further other than that this has never been reported upstream (as far as I remember) on the buddiesOfBudgie tracker so it is unfortunately kind of unique to your current setup.
What version of Ubuntu Budgie and steam?
I’m not able to reproduce the issue on UB 24.04 LTS with steam version 1773426488 (updated today).
Also, can you try testing with the “Previews” Budgie Extra enabled? I know it’s a little controversial since it’s window-sy, but I like it.
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS updated
Steam version: 1773426488 (march 12th)
Odd… so we’re running the same software.
Sounds like it happens intermittently but not consistently?
