New to Budgie, just installed Ubuntu Budgie 24.04.1 fresh from the USB, and so far I am really liking what I am seeing!
I am having a bit of trouble though installing Dropbox using the new Budgie Welcome → Optional Tasks → Dropbox install button. When I tried it, it gave me a notification error:
Failed installation of nemodropbox
I assume it meant nemo-dropbox, so I tried installing that manually and ran into a dependency issue:
$ sudo apt install nemo-dropbox

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
nemo-dropbox : Depends: libappindicator1 but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
But I have no held packages: dpkg --get-selections | grep hold returns nothing. This is a fresh install, and the only other thing I did was use the button above the Dropbox one to install flatpak.
I’ve read that packages depending on libappindicator1 are having issues in Ubuntu 24.04, presumably because it has been removed.
Any ideas how to proceed? Should I report this as a bug?
Thanks!
