Just wondering if either of these two Browsers is in the Repository? I prefer and use Firefox as my primary Browser, but sometimes we do need one of these, when interacting with Government agencies. I see Mint does… I couldn’t find them on Ubuntu. Of course there’s always the Terminal, the command line, etc. … but what about new Linux users. I think it would probably be a good thing for them.

both chrome and edge are maintained by their vendors - google and microsoft respectively. They host their own repositories.
There has been in the recent years an ongoing task to purge various browsers that are in the universe repo - simply because no one has put their hands up to maintain those browsers. No point in using a browser from the universe repo for 5 or more years with no security fixes.

Then I’m guessing what Mint does (in it’s Repository)… is to provide a direct Link to Google Chrome Browser.

Depending on what you need and the use case, would Chromium work?
