Install Budgie Minimal on top of Ubuntu Server 20.04

Hello,
I am not that much experienced with Linux that is why I need your help

I run a Ubuntu Server 20.04.3 without GUI and now I want to upgrade this installation to a Budgie Desktop without the office package.

Do I have to install a “official” Ubuntu GUI first? When I type “sudo apt-get install budgie-desktop-minimal” it says that the package cannot be found.

This is my /etc/apt/sources.list

Hi and welcome!

There isn’t a minimal package per se - on the regular desktop ISO what happens is that it installs Ubuntu Budgie with all packages … and then cleans up at the end with a list of all packages that we recommend removing to make a “minimal” installation.

https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~ubuntubudgie-dev/ubuntu-seeds/ubuntu-budgie.focal/view/head:/desktop.minimal-remove

So to install “Ubuntu Budgie” its

sudo apt install ubuntu-budgie-desktop

Ok, thank you for this hint. I installed „regular“ Budgie Desktop and it worked. Thanks
