20.4 Beta - Not remembering Screen arrangement

Hello Team,

New to Ubuntu Budgie. FreeBSD/KDE5 Workstation user. Trying Ubuntu Budgie in my Surface Pro4. Trying to make a choice between Fedora and Ubuntu Budgie for my portable workstation.

I started with Ubuntu Budgie 19.10 and upgraded to the 20.4 last night. Everything went smooth. My problem was there in 19.10 too. I plug in a Samsung 32" 4K external screen via Surface Dock (brick type). System never remembers my screen arrangement over reboots. 19.10 used to forget fractional scaling too. This is fixed after the upgrade to 20.4.

Any idea what could be wrong? Is it the Surface Dock not playing well with Ubuntu?

Thanks,

KJ

Is this an NVIDIA type surface? If so are you using the recommended drivers in Menu - Hardware Drivers? Possibly this article will help Display settings lost on reboot on ubuntu 18.04 - Ask Ubuntu
