Nothing that we can do with the translation gaps. That really is for folks to help with.
Crystal-dock manages its own translations - if there are areas that are not covered by its translations then please do raise an issue with that github project.
budgie-control-center managed by the buddiesofbudgie project via their transifex.
Our slicksddm theme translations that is managed by our transifex instance.
the desktop context menu no longer allows you to create new folders and files.
Yeah - its no longer nemo-desktop. nemo-desktop in 26.04 is not wayland compatible so we have had to drop it. We are using budgie-desktop-view which is buddiesofbudgie solution. It is strictly a desktop icons solution - not a fully fledged icons + file-manager solution.
Weāll relook at this again for 26.10 where we note last week in the nemo github repository positive moves to wayland was committed. Weāll have to wait to see when that is going to be released.
interesting. Sounds like a gtk-layer-shell issue. Will have a look at that. Might need to propose to buddiesofbudgie with its crystal-dock module an addition - detect the switcheroo with desktop-icons toggle and do an equivalent of ākill crystal-dock, wait a fraction of a second and then restartā
Iāll create a PPA specifically for you to install budgie-desktop with a suggested fix. Since I canāt reproduce it, I need you to see if the suggested fix works. You can ppa-purge it afterwards to restore back to the repository version.
The only minor drawback is that crystal-dock disappears for a second when the desktop icon display is switched on or off in Budgie Desktop Settings, which causes ShowTime to lose its position meanwhile.
You need to set visibility to autohide.
Not worried about that - desktop icons on or off isnt something I expect people to be doing day-in-day-out. Freezes - most definitely something to resolve. Iāll PR this to upstream.
