I’m new to Budgie. I need some help.
On some screenshots, Budgie’s menu has some sort of blured transparent background. As well as the Lightpad applet.
But I have a black background.
Coul someone tell me how to do to get a transperent background on the menu, please ?
Apart from Fantasma, already mentioned here in an answer to a question similar to yours, @Neelix, I only know of Materia Transparent that can really give you satisfaction — but both of them are rather dated.
There’s nothing to stop you trying it out, but you’ll find, as I did, that the developer’s warning is honest: some applications, and not the least important ones, don’t integrate at all, especially Nemo.
Unless you give up on Budgie and switch to GNOME on connection, but I haven’t tried it: while the whole thing is aesthetically pleasing, my eyesight doesn’t quite fit.
I’ve heard that transparent themes like these are better suited to KDE.
