I’m having trouble using the onboard keyboard in the top panel. If I try using the onboard keyboard for any of the applets in the top panel like the search bar or the note app it does not work. I press a key on the onboard keyboard and it causes the app to disappear so I can’t type anything. Is this because the keyboard app is stealing focus from the other app? Like maybe you can only use one applet at a time?
Correct. The focus switch causes issues with applet popovers. Think the focus autoclose needs to take into account if onboard is being used.
That would be an enhancement to budgie-desktop code. Happy to suggest where to look in the code if someone wants to tackle this modification to budgie.
