Sleeping screen

I’m having a problem with my screen going to sleep (using 20.10). When computer is left alone for to long the screen goes dark, when I touch the space bar I see my desktop image and the cursor but nothing else. I have not found a way to come back to my desktop so I have to restart the computer to be able to use it.
What should I do?
Ps! F12 doesn’t help.

Suggestion … menu - power. Turn off the screensaver so that the display doesn’t sleep

Thank you the tip!

Is there any more technical solution?

It does sound like a graphics issue - so I suppose you should investigate that area. For example if you are using nvidia - experiment with either the opensource nouveau drivers vs the nvidia drivers offered in Menu - Hardware drivers.

Thanks for the suggestion

Another method is to install caffeine from Budgie Desktop Extras to turn off auto suspend and screensaver.

Thank you, I didn’t think of that.
