(Solved) Youtube and .webm freezes

Good morning.
It is the first time i’m using Linux. It’s working quite well so far. But video freezes after some seconds when I’m browsing videos on youtube or .webm files. The sound and the rest of the functions keep working, and the video goes on when I move the pointer.
.mp4 files dont show this problem and I didn’t tried other video files.
Looking for solutions on google I’ve found a similar case resolved by reinstalling the graphics card driver, but I’m not sure if that’s my problem and don’t know how to do it.
By the way, I think mine is Intel® HD Graphics 520 (Skylake GT2)
Do you know how can I solve it?

If you are using chrome or chromium try using Firefox … or visa-versa

I’m using Firefox now and the screen doesn’t freeze anymore. Thank you very much. Your OS is pretty neat.

Yeah. It is an annoying issue that has been around for months now and affects all linux distros. Seemingly some people are affected more than others. Chrome developers haven’t yet released a fix.

Workaround is to use Firefox or to turn off acceleration in chrome config options.
