it happens (to me, at least) only in virtual environment: I’ve installed it on a usb-connected 320 Gb HDD and everything went fine: both launching budgie-control-center and/or just launching displays doesn’t give any problem … so maybe I must review your suggestions about spice-vdagent. Just a question more: the link is private so I get a 404: is there a way to reach it? For we poor mortals, I mean

ah - yes you can … but you’ll need to join the development team … and we can then request access.
anyway. No need to attach. I personally dont have the bandwidth to look at this for a few weeks.
We’ll add it to the release notes. The workaround is to reset the “last-panel” key-value in dcon-editor/gsettings for budgie-control-center so that displays isnt attempted to be reopened.
Thank you everyone who help this cycle with testing our 23.04 release.
No further changes will be made this cycle. We are into bug-fixing mode only post the release next week.
Final release notes are here Ubuntu Budgie 23.04 Release Notes | Ubuntu Budgie
We’ll start a 23.10 issue sometime in May once the dailies are in production.
See you all on the otherside!
