Hi, is there an update on Ubuntu Budgie 24.04 available for RPi 5? Soon I hope. I’m kind of surprised is not available already.
Due to factors beyond our control, the pi5 support was not in a fit state for X11 based desktops at the 24.04 release date.
We understand Canonical has made some progress in this area. We will be evaluating progress - if Ubuntu has succeeded we should hopefully make a release of our Pi image by 24.04.1.
Ok, thanks for the response.
Hi,
still no news?
Sil
OK, no news. But I’ve done a do-release-upgrade from 23.10 on a Pi4 8Gb and everything seems working fine (I just had to edit third_party.sources, since everything was set on Enabled: no, after release upgrade).
Is correct? I mean: can this be the right way to move mantic to noble on budgie-raspi, without waiting for new preinstalled version and customizing it from scratch?
Thanks,
Sil
My understanding talking to @samlane that we have been unable to crack open the 24.04 image build process. The image created doesnt expand automatically to fill the usb card.
If you or anyone wants to help figure this out please do raise your hand.
