All of us use Ubuntu Budgie on different machines with different combos CPU/Motherboard/GPU combo, be it desktop or laptop.
In a way to better understand how Ubuntu Budgie behaves on different configurations in regards to compatibility, we would like to know on which machine and with what configuration are you using it
Here’s mine:
AMD Phenom X4 955
BenQ 2420 HDB
10GB Kingston DDR3 667mhz
AsusTek M4A785TD-V EVO (AM3)
Radeon RX 550
320GB Western Digital
1000GB Toshiba
500GB Samsung
CoolerMaster B500W
Very nice, fast and super light machine. Only the microphone does not work, but i’ve decided to live with it. This is not a Budgie, i don’t think even Ubuntu problem.
Having switched from Mac, the only thing i find a problem is that hibernation does not work with lid close/open.
Intel® Core™ i3-5005U CPU @ 2.00GHz × 4
Intel® HD Graphics 5500 (Broadwell GT2)
16GB RAM
500GB HDD
Nothing special. It came with 4GB of RAM, but I wanted a little more for those times when I needed to use VirtualBox for one thing or another (usually for booting into Win 7 to use Access for business miles in a DB I created so many years ago, so long ago, I have since forgotten how I created all the forms and reports, etc.), so I maxed it out.
I am using ubuntu budgie on an Asus t100taf 2 in 1 tablet. which has a bay trail Intel processor that is 1.33 Ghz. 2Gb of ram and a 32Gb eMMC storage and a 32Gb micro SD card. Display. 10.1" 16:9 IPS HD (1366x768) with Multi-Touch Screen. and Intel HD graphics.
Macbook Pro 8.1
13’ 1280x800
I5-2435M dual core with hyperthreading 2.4GHz
Intel HD 3000 graphics with 256MB of shared VRAM.
16GB 1333MHz DDR3
Original 500GB HDD.
Linux runs Ok but could be better if Apple allowed more hardware freedom.
