What's your Budgie Machine?

Custom Build (2018)

  • Corsair 270r case
  • ASUS B350 Prime Motherboard
  • AMD Ryzen 7 1700: 3.75GHZ (overclocked), 8 cores, 16 threads, 16MB L3 cache
  • 64GB RAM DDR4 (2933 MHZ)
  • AMD Radeon 570, 8GB RAM GDDR5
  • 500GB M.2 (OS drive)
  • 500GB SSD (data drive)
  • 2TB HDD (backup drive 1)
  • 2TB HDD (backup drive 2)
  • Four 27" Displays: (4 x HP 27f, 1920x1080)
  • Ubuntu Budgie 64-bit (of course)
  • Windows 10 dual boot
  • Windows 10 in Virtualbox with 24GB RAM
  • I’ll be upgrading to Ryzen 7 3000 when it hits the market

I’ve seen a couple of issues with freezing up, but overall it’s been very smooth. Ubuntu Budgie
is about 30% more lean than Windows 10.

Huawei Matebook D (2018)

  • AMD Ryzen 5 2500u: 2.0-3.6GHZ, 4 cores, 8 threads, 4MB L3 cache

I’ve had issuea with freezing up and the touchpad being unresponsive when waking up. I’m hopeful the Linux Kernel 5.2 updates will resolve the issue.
