wayland update - absolute disaster. What profit btw?
plank removed (no wayland support) crystal dock raw as ****.
keyboard shortcust become trash.
No Cmd + shift + right for switching displays.
No Esc for creating applets???
Alt + Space quick run?
App menu - typing app name clicking button down and cursor still in text box… Click right change focus?? Why not tab like in windows xp(sarcasm)
I predict what moderator will arive and said what all works and he cant reproduce. I believe it works on fresh install, but what about updating? First time i will need to downgrade sadly
Well, I’m not a moderator, but I’d like to point out that you’ve already answered all your own questions: why did you upgrade to 26.04 without even trying it out first — especially with the switch to Wayland and 7.0?
As for me, I’m still using 24.04.4 and trying out 26.04.
And nothing beats a fresh install — it gets rid of all the junk lurking in the background.
you need to configure your rc.xml for those key combinations - under wayland you need to control yourself what “displays” mean - each display has its own name
I have no idea what “esc for creating applets” means - there is no such key in 24.04
Alt + Space quick run - what does this mean? is this for changing your keyboard source? Thats Alt + Shift by default
App menu - if you don’t like the default menu then use the inbuilt menu in budgie-desktop-settings.
If you don’t like the dock then switch to another layout that suits your workflow.
