I’m live booting the recently released Ubuntu Budgie 26.04 ahead of upgrading my current install. I’ve added the icon task list applet to the budgie panel.
When I drag an application icon over the task list to pin it, the budgie panel disappears. Pressing the super key displays the budgie panel again. The budgie panel is configured to never hide.

I’ve just tried to replicate what you described on a brand-new installation of Ubuntu 26.04, but, sorry, I can’t see that problem.

I should have said I’m dragging the app icon from the budgie-menu applet to the icon task list applet.
I suspect this is just a live session issue. I cannot reproduce this on an actual install.

You said so, @Sambuca and that’s what I did on a real system.
But I honestly couldn’t reproduce the problem.
