Bottom Panel (Dock) does not appear in one case

Hello,

I recently upgraded my system from Ubuntu Budgie 24.04 LTS, via 24.10, to Ubuntu 25.04. Since Plank was removed, I configured the “Icon Task List” in the bottom panel using Dock Mode.

When I use the notebook’s built-in display (3840x2400), the bottom panel does not appear when I move the mouse pointer to the bottom center of the screen, even though “Intelligent” auto-hide is enabled.

However, when I connect the notebook to a docking station with an external monitor, the bottom panel appears as expected when I move the pointer to the bottom center.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or can offer advice on how to resolve this?

Thank you!

hi,

it happens to me with 24.10 and 25.04 I use for testing purposes via qemu: often, when a brand new account is created, Icon task list is missing or it disappears and must be re-added via Budgie-desktop-settings.

No such tragic problem, anyway.

The Bottom Panel is still present in the Desktop Settings.
When I am using the notebook screen and minimize all open windows to reveal the desktop, the Bottom Panel appears as expected.
However, if a window is open and I move my mouse pointer to the center bottom of the screen, the Bottom Panel does not appear.
