Cant install ttf-ms fonts

I have never had this problem before. Usually I install Synaptic and then from Synaptic choose to install ttf-ms but not in 19.04. The package doesnt get installed completely. Any suggestions?

Hi and welcome

I just did sudo apt install ttf-mscorefonts-installer and it completed successfully under 19.04.

What issues are you having?

My problem is that the fonts don’t get installed as they should. It looks like some kind of mirror problem. This is what I get from Tillix:

bjorn@Tuxedo:~$ sudo apt install ttf-mscorefonts-installer

It’s a known intermittant issue for a number of years.

See comment #17 for a workaround

Fantastic!

Works like charm!

Thank you very much!

Do you by any chance know how to get that nice budgie style in neofetch?

try:

neofetch --ascii_distro ubuntu-budgie

Thanks a lot!

Ubuntu Budgie just keeps getting better and better!

cheers

How do you install Synaptic? Budgie doesn’t have a decent package manager as far as I can tell.

Just search for “synaptic” in Menu - Software
