I need to properly install ttf-mscorefonts so I can set my default LibreWriter font to Arial for a class. Using sudo apt install ttf-mscorefonts-installer brought up the grey box to accept the license agreement and then sudo fc-cache -v to complete the process, but that didn’t work. I then restarted the machine and to no avail. How do you install ttf-mscorefonts?
After accepting the license agreement did the install end with:?
Should then find your Arial font:
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts/arial.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts/arialbd.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts/arialbi.ttf
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts/ariali.ttf
I’m not entirely sure why it wasn’t appearing after I refreshed my font cache but the computer had been restarted multiple times since I created the thread and I looked in the directory after reading your post, and they were there.
Just run the installer by:
sudo apt install ttf-mscorefonts-installer
To accept the license simply press Tab key until the ‘O.k.’ is highlighted and then Return.
I installed it with no problem.
Same for me, worked well.
Now have the arial font
