Configure Budgie workspaces with second screen

Hi there,
I am quite new to Budgie, it came preinstalled with Ubuntu Budgie on my new laptop and I like it quite a lot.

However, I notice a strange behavior:
I work with a second monitor as primary display connected via HDMI.
When I change to a different workspace, all windows on the main display remain on their workspace, but the second screen (laptop screen) remains. Windows on this screen exist on all workspaces.

I must admit, I can figure out use cases where it is really great to have windows one screen shown on all workspaces, but for myself I don’t like that.
Unfortunately I cannot find an option to configure that behavior. Is there any way to tweak this in a config file so budgie handles windows on all workspaces the same?

See this upstream thread and the suggestions there.

Workspace handling under GNOME mutter I.e. the window manager budgie uses is not fully multimonitor aware

Thanks a lot.
In the GitLab Issue I found this command, which seemed to solve my problem.

# Enable workspaces on all monitors
gsettings set org.gnome.mutter workspaces-only-on-primary false
