Digikam photo management snap app does'nt work on 26.04 whereas on my UB 24.04 I can do it. I would really appreciate your friendly help

I’m not familiar with that usine à gaz, but the Flatpak format seems to work fine on UB 26.04:

digikam

First, remove snap version:
sudo snap remove digikam

Next, copy and paste this line:
flatpak install flathub org.kde.digikam

The version of digikam in the repositories is v9. .Given that you had it installed at 24.04 it would have upgraded to v9 during the upgrade. If you are saying v8.8 is the snap version, then its older than the version in the repos.

The Flatpak version is 9.1.0.
It downloaded 1.2 GB of additional packages.

Yes my UB26.04 upgrade didn’t take into account the Digikam new version, dated july 4th.

Digikam works !
