… come to think of it. Is it theme related and not Window manager related?
Well if this doesn’t work then we can assume it’s the window manager that is drawing it.
Try CSD based apps (e.g. gedit)as well as non CSD based apps (e.g. nemo)
Well, there’s still a thin line of shadow when CSD based apps are selected. Non-CSD like nemo still draw full shadow.

Well probably some more CSS changes could resolve the CSD observation.
Nothing can be done for non CSD apps without a code change in mutter

It’s amazing how big differences there are on the CSD and non-CSD windows when it comes to shadow.
