(from #ubuntu-budgie irc, it’s quiet there)
After installing Wine from Software Centre, I got an error for unmet depencies, after reboot I can’t get to the desktop enviroment ‘Failed to start session’ , first thing google gave me was to ‘sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop’ from ctrl-alt-f1, Now I can login to Ubuntu and Ubuntu on Wayland, but not Budgie. Want my Budgie back Running Ubuntu Budgie 18.10.
Sounds like something has accidentally been uninstalled
Try
sudo apt install --reinstall ubuntu-budgie-desktop budgie-desktop budgie-core gnome-control-center

also worth trying
sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade
This is to confirm everything is fully up to date
Got to budgie, but things are off and some things corrupted…
The new mutter that has been uploaded to 18.10 has cause a bunch of issues - tracking stuff here.
If you have anything extra please add to the upstream issue tracker. Thanks.
Thank you for the solution.
