heya, so far im enjoying budgie, but im wondering is there any way to get an overview view like in gnome and kde?

Maybe the lightpad applet is something you may wish to try.
Look in the menu for budgie-extras and install the applet. After a session restart replace the menu applet with the lightpad applet
