Gnome Papers instead of Atril

I’ve got nothing against Atril, but I’ve got nothing for it either. In fact, I’m still wondering why UB chose this application.

I recently discovered Gnome Papers.
Aside from its better aesthetics and ergonomics and the fact that rotating works without problems, there are two decisive arguments in its favour in my opinion: the higher quality of its rendering and the fact that it remembers your settings and the page where you left off.

In some respects (incomplete translation, e.g.), Papers is still young.
But Atril, as MATE, is definitely old-fashioned.

All default apps are kept in constant review.

The general criteria we view for app inclusion is from a functionality/capability POV together with aspects such as maintainability and themeability.

Papers is a new app designed specifically for gnome shell and cannot be themed for an out of a box experience - its a libadwaita app.

Thanks, now I understand why Atril.
Too bad, but it doesn’t matter.
As for me, I’ve switched to Papers, the themability doesn’t matter to me.
