In Ubuntu budgie 26.04 (wayland), the right-click menu for desktop folders only contains three options; there are no menus for Copy, Cut, or Paste.
The desktop folder menu for Ubuntu Bugui 24.04 (x11) is as follows; it’s quite comprehensive, and we hope the developers will fix this issue.
The options you have noted came from nemo-desktop. We no longer ship by default with nemo-desktop since the version in 26.04 is not wayland compatible. We ship with budgie’s officially supported desktop-icons solution called budgie-desktop-view.
There is apparently wayland compatibility now available upstream on the github linuxmint repo. Once it has been officially released we can retest and make a suitable decision at that point.
