List view in File

How to set folders and files to a ‘List view’ for all folders and files? When I am in the Documents folder, I chose ‘List view’, but when I move to the Documents subfolder, folders and files are arranged to ‘Icon View’.

If you press ALT to show the menu, you can select Edit | Preferences. In “Views”, under “Default View”, you can check “Inherit view type from parent”. Now when you change the view type for a folder, all of its subfolders will change to that view type as well.
