Partial Upgrade

I am using Budgie 23.10. My system failed on an upgrade, and now it says I have errors in:
Memtest86+
Grub-pc and
Linux-image-6.6.0-14-generic

It is also throwing up an error on:
Linux-image-5.15.0-88-generic

I am thinking I need to get rid of this last image, but any feedback is greatly appreciated. I will post any data that people request.

Thank you very much,

Steven

You have used the third party tool “grub customizer” ?

Potential solutions on that Q&A

Since your are testing noble it is probably just better to do a clean install. Wait for a couple of weeks to allow the big transitions currently being undertaken to complete before installing and testing again.

Are you saying wait until 24.04 is released in April?

Yes, I do have grub customizer installed, and I accidentally installed this Budgie beta by accident.

if you are after a very stable 24.04 version, 22.04 LTS users wait until 24.04.1 is released in July/August this year to upgrade

24.04 in April is the first release for mass installation - should be ok but the 3 months is used to catch key issues before the .1 point release.

in a couple of weeks the big transition issues in 24.04 will have occurred - that’s called feature freeze. At that point its bug fixing through to the april release.
