A staff member @ UF is contacting the IT people for the mirrors on irc.
Just a small update. So far the people testing in the US are not having issues. Once thing to note also, it seems odd that it was reported that regular Ubuntu works and that it is just the flavours that are having issues. I have had it confirmed that it is the same system.

there is no separate âApplicationâ icon in the decoration to show the appmenu: I saw that earlier this week (Monday?), I thought it was a by-product of the Cupertino layout I have chosen for Ubuntu Budgie.
I use the University of Waterloo download as well as the CD daily live: Both have working fine for downloading both Ubuntu Budgie and Ubuntu proper, just this weekend in fact.
