Please also be aware that Discourse might resize pictures automatically, making pictures unusable for our contest. If you want to be sure there was no resizing, you can do a follow up post and link to other online storage before the end of the month.

My 1st humble contribution. A (huge) door handle at a burial site of some warrior lord or something in Shenyang, China. Taken in July of 2018.

Lovely photos … congrats! Please can you link the photos to a dropbox account or similar? The reason for the request is that discourse downsamples the size which means we can’t use the picture.

Remember to post links to cloud storage because if you post directly to discourse, your images will be resized and won’t be eligible for our wallpaper contest.

The team will now gather together all entries where links to the full resolution images exist i.e. we will not be using discourse images since these are low resolution.
Once done a judgement of the best 8 to 10 will be made and (in our weird and wacky thought processes) a winner will be announced.
If we find more than 10 images then we may carry these into the 22.10 release.

Your article is awesome. Any chance you could share which AI you used and send me the denoised images? Got a lot more of those 35mm film scans. I love the grain when printed, but for digital usage, smoothening is great.

That was a really fun experience! Loved the choices for the release and what’s great about this is more wallpapers to the collection! (it can get addicting to have a slideshow with amazing pictures, i have 465 in the folder)
And i have to confess, the pictures i took were made with a phone… Their camera quality is like magic.
