I used Chromium to pin my ecosystem to the plank. Unfortunately it opens a second instance in the plank, creating clutter.
Workaround?!?
I figured it out. So weird. When you create a shortcut of a webpage in Chromium, it leaves an icon on your desktop. Double click it and two versions of the app show up in the Plank: identical icons but one has the little ‘active light’ under it. Keep that one, not the other one. Quit web app page and open again and the stereo effect is gone.
