Upgrade Available?

I’ve been waiting for the upgrade from 19.10 to 20.04 to show up for do-release-upgrade but it’s still not showing as available. Has anyone been able to upgrade from 19.10 to 20.04 yet?

I’m using do-release-upgrade -c and it’s saying ‘No new release found.’.

There is one bug Canonical are wrestling with at the moment so it needs to be dealt with before the notification is switched on.

As for any LTS release, the upgrade from previous version will be proposed automatically in July when 20.04.1 hits released.

You may upgrade sooner manually, following Is there any way yo update to ubuntu budgie 20.04 from 18.04.4 or https://askubuntu.com/questions/110477/how-do-i-upgrade-to-a-newer-version-of-ubuntu

Ok - They have started rolling out the auto upgrades it looks like.

@Coeur-Noir- FYI - they do not wait until the .1 release. There is no fixed time really - it is dictated by internal Canonical process. The delays can have many “reason” that affect the time frame. But generally 1 week is the number I have heard.

Yep I confused with LTS to LTS version → this one is only proposed at .1 of newer LTS through automatic update manager.

But from 19.10 non LTS to 20.04 LTS → it’s as soon as it’s considered ready Canonical’s side.
