Wifi access but no network [Resolved]

Hello,

Nice to discover Ubutnu Budgie and your community.

I installed Ubuntu Budgie 24.04.1 LTS on an Asus N76VZ.

I have access to Wifi but when I connect to my wifi, I have no network.

I tried to modify the resolv.conf file by making it static, without effect

Does anyone have an idea ?
Thank you all

Hi and welcome!

FYI … network issues can be answered by the wider ubuntu community. Askubuntu.com and discourse.ubuntu.com are also excellent support sites.

For network issues you should consult this post before posting with answers to what you have tried here. Thanks

Could you please post the return of this command line?

lspci -nnk | grep -i network -A 3

Hi Jean, thanks for your reply
the result is on the picture. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I will have a look there.

Just a silly question to start with: have you checked that Wifi is enabled? It sometimes happens that the aeroplane mode is activated.
Go to Budgie Control Centre > Wifi.

If the problem isn’t coming from there, post the return of this line to check that everything is starting correctly. Instead of a photo, copy the return and paste it into your message using the “Preformatted Text” button (</>), like this:

sudo dmesg | grep -i wifi

Hi My wifi is working, the problem is not there. When connecting an RJ45 cable, I realized that the connection went from Wlan to wifi. So my connection was unstable, probably because of my old wifi chip. After changing the band of my connection from 20 to 40 GHz, my connection seems to have regained stability and seems to be working fine. Thank you for your help.
