This generates the error below. Now, I would think this a Libreoffice bug. However, I could not reproduce the error on ubuntu 18.10.
My guess it it subsequently runs fine?
Yes, it actually runs find, it’s just the error.

Looks like the code is assuming gnome shell accessibility is running. This will affect all non gnome shell flavours.

The error referenced in the first post can be fixed by entering this at the command line:
$ export NO_AT_BRIDGE=1
If your getting java errors with libreoffice then install libreoffice-java-common.
