I am running UB 18.10 beta in a VM. When I close plank, set up a panel on the left hand side instead and insert the task icon applet the following bug occurs:
When I start Libreoffice Calc or writer … the Icon for Libreoffice math appears in the above mentioned applet. I assume that’s a bug.
I hope it is the right place to post it.

Have you tried to launch from your actual calc, another libreoffice app’ ?
I’ve recently noticed same kind of behavior - although I’m still on 18.04.
First launch of libreoffice shows the « generic » libreoffice startcenter icon. But if I let this running, next launch of any libreoffice shows its own right icon.
