I upgraded to 25.10 a few days ago, and my desktop has got real huge icons. Is there anyway of configuring them as I cannot seem to find a way to do that.
Please can you share a picture of what you are seeing? phone or budgie-screenshot copy-and-paste here.
I can reduce the size in files, but I can find no way of setting it. That will only affect the files view though, and not the desktop view.
Connected with Wayland, I believe
hmm - wayland would only apply if you have the 25.10 wayland test PPA installed.
If I remember correctly (may be wrong… ) right-click an empty area of the desktop, hover over “View,” and select a new size from the icon size options
That is all I see. You can select individual icons and resize them, but it doesn’t work. Maybe this build is buggy
I fixed it. I just selected “align to grid” and it resized everything
All I have to figure out now is once I change the icon size in files how to keep it that way. dconf doesn’t work
Hi @macgrioghair,
When you click on “Align to Grid,” you switch to another desktop menu layout that gives you access to the “Customize” option:
There, you can adjust the desktop layout and the size of the icons in a module that looks like it was imported from Cinnamon:
The size of the icons should not change afterwards, unless fractional mode is enabled.
