Chromium address-bar color control

A dark-background address bar with clear/white characters is my favourite configuration when using Chromium. However, this feature disappeared when I changed the configuration of the Pocillo-dark theme.

I reset the theme settings and tried to apply the theme again, but the address bar of the Chromium browser persisted with the dark-characters on light-background configuration.

Is there a way to the manipulate directly the address-bar colour?

How did you do this? i.e. command line of some sort?

And meanwhile, chromium hit v69 with a new theme where colors may be differently handled…

I am afraid I didn’t express myself clearly

I didn’t use any kind of command lines. Just applied different themes and changed theme options through Budgie Desktop Settings.

When I realized the problem with Chromium address bar, I used Budgie Welcome options to reinstall Chromium and Budgie Themes to apply the default settings to reset the panel. Both actions didn’t make any difference.

I read that Chromium address bar colour is controlled by the OS and so, I’d appreciate any new info about how to modify the address bar features

Looks like an update to the theme is required.

Instructions on how to modify & develop the theme is described here by the README
