i got two screens, but the right one is the primary. I want that whatever window I open will show up on the primary display, the right one. Help would be appreciated because I’m new to this desktop environment.

If you are not afraid to do a bit of setup, see this https://askubuntu.com/questions/1108654/how-to-starts-apps-always-on-primary-display (you can then choose the default screen to launch). Please mention if you need help setting up.
