How to Place Launch Buttons for Installed Applications within Panel/Dock?

The Plank is nice, but I would prefer to have launch buttons for my installed software applications (like Firefox, Libre and GIMP) located instead within the (top) pane/doc.

How can I do this? I am using Ubuntu Budgie 18.04 and the “add applets to panel” function under Desktop Settings only lists Budgie apps not installed software.

Put icons on budgie panel

Hello, I am working on Budgie about two weeks now. I am fond of this ubuntu flavour. However, one thing frustrates me: is it possible to move icons from docker (plank) to budgie panel? I have seen such a thing on screenshots from solus project. Now I have two separate panels on left and right, what I want to achieve is to combine them into one panel. [image]

Thanks. But how would a casual user figure that solution out? Still hoping for an operators’ manual on Budgie … someday The purpose of the Raven is another mystery, but I digress.
